FlowVis® solves flow issues for carrico customer
Carrico Aquatic Resources uses FlowVis flow meter to solve customers problem with improper flow to heater.
SYLVANIA, OH — August 31st, 2017 — H2flow Controls, Inc. Carrico Aquatic Resources, located in Jefferson, Wisconsin, has been servicing, teaching, and consulting in the commercial aquatics industry for over 20 years.
In 2014, Carrico Aquatic Resources was contacted by an indoor aquatics facility that was experiencing repeated scaling issues in their indoor lap pool heater. The facility had tried using numerous products in an attempt to find a solution, but nothing worked. Inevitably, their heater would scale up every 10-12 months. After a site review, Carrico concluded that the problem was due to improper flow; specifically, water was not flowing fast enough into the heater.

The solution was to install FlowVis®, and know the precise flow rate. Since installing FlowVis in February, 2014, there have been no scaling issues to date. Instead of estimating flow by relying on the overall system flow meter reading and positioning of various valve settings, the facility is now able to determine the precise GPM. This allows for proper valve setting positions for optimal efficiency.
